Manuel, the oldest Rios brother, began working in the fields of Napa Valley as a teen. He completed viticulture courses at Napa Valley College and continued to gain knowledge from hands-on work in grape growing for over 15 years after high school. In 1998, he set out on his own to create Rios Farming Company, LLC, which now develops and manages approximately 1200 acres of premium vineyards. The wine company is owned and operated
these days by Manuel and his wife Shelia.
The brothers Rafael and Alberto have chosen
to devote their times elsewhere. Both
brothers, still having school age children
and extremely busy schedules, still enjoy
the family wines at their mother’s frequent
Friday night dinners. Those dinners played
an iatrical part in the start and
development of the Rios Wine Company’s
business. The label names and designs took
many bottles of wine to be decided upon.
Our
winemaker, cousin Our wines are not only available at our tasting room but are distributed throughout the nation, also available through our website and at some of our fine restaurants and stores in the Napa Valley. Enjoy the experience of Solovino, a wine rich in heritage and born from the passion to keep on growing. To generations past, present, and future: ¡Salud!

Shared
interests and family ties brought the three
Rios brothers, Manuel, Rafael, and Alberto
together to create the Rios Wine Company,
LLC. The wine company was the next step for
the brothers, who began work as teens in the
wine industry as fieldworkers. The wine
company is creating wine to honor their
family's heritage across the generations
from rural Mexican farmers, to immigrant
fieldworkers, to wine producers.
