Shared interests and family ties have brought the three Rios brothers, Manuel, Rafael, and Alberto, as well as their cousin, Jesus Hernandez, together to create the Rios Wine Company, LLC. Their wine label, Solovino, is the next step for the four men, who began work in the wine industry as fieldworkers in their teens. They are now pursuing the dream of creating wine to honor their family's heritage across the generations from rural Mexican farmers, to immigrant fieldworkers, to wine producers.

Manuel , the oldest Rios brother, began working in the fields of Napa Valley as a young teen. He completed viticulture courses at Napa Valley College and continued to gain knowledge from hands-on work in grape growing for over 15 years after high school. In 1998, he set out on his own to create Rios Farming Company, LLC, which now develops and manages approximately 750 acres of vineyards.

Rafael also began work as a field laborer but followed a different path to wine production. He studied landscape architecture at UC Davis and then headed off to Santa Clara University to study law. After graduating in 1994, he began work with the law firm of Coombs and Dunlap in Napa and today is a partner in the firm practicing business, real estate, wine law and immigration law.

Alberto took a path to wine production that combines the experiences of both of his brothers. Just as they did, he started out working in the fields. After high school, he attended school at Humboldt University and UC Davis and then decided to work for Manuel at Rios Farming Company, where he is still working today.

Jesus, like his cousins, began work in the fields. He attended UC Davis for a time but found that the true education in vineyard production is one of experience. He returned to Napa Valley to work for Manuel and is now a manager at Rios Farming Company, where he is still working today.

Enjoy the experience of Solovino, a wine rich in heritage and born from the passion to keep on growing. To generations past, present, and future: Salud!
